KTSA BLOODSHED

UPDATE
KTSA Radio For Sale?
Salem Communications Stays Mum On 'Rumor'
RG Griffing, SAL Commentary

As Infinty Broadcasting's KTSA managers scramble to fill the slots of two veteran broadcasters who were axed by the media giant, new gossip is emerging which suggests that the troubled station is for sale.

Meanwhile, ex-WOAI host Chris Duel will take over the afternoon show vacated by Carl Wiglesworth. Jack Riccardi will move to late morning where Eliza Sonneland's show used to be. (See previous stories below.)

The changes are expected to take place Tuesday July 6th.

As to the possibility of a sale, managers at KTSA have been unavailable for comment, but the latest scuttlebutt names one possible situation developing.

Salem Broadcasting, which owns KSLR and KLUP locally, is said to be "looking at the possibility" of a purchase. A call to Salem's headquarters drew the following response from Communications Director Denise Davis:

"Salem Communications does not respond or comment on rumors."
