Federal Aviation Administration Investigators have had no luck identifing so-called "Black Helicopters" reported in the area of Comal and surrounding counties over the last few months.

Rancher John Cores filed a complaint after black and dark blue choppers began hovering over his property during the Summer and Fall. (Click for related story.)

Cores says he saw no discernible ID markings on the aircraft.

"One tried to land by my cattle tank, but left when I approached," Cores says.

"It had no number I could see."

FAA inspector Tom Hennessee looked into the matter, but conceded it is "virtually impossible" to know who is operating the helicopters without knowing an ID number.

Hennessee says Cores is not alone.

"Such complaints are not uncommon," he noted.

Cores was able to get some photographs of one fly over. Hennessee says he is evaluating the pictures.

"My biggest concern is that they are scaring my cattle. I want it to stop," Cores said.

More to follow.
