OLD TAXES
NEVER DIE, THEY JUST TEND TO STAY!
So much for
honesty and integrity of elected guru's who sell
us on the notion of temporary taxes, and when it
comes time for them to expire, we find a vigorous
campaign to find more ways to extend them under the
guise of becoming a World Class City.
All of this
which is supposed to be paid by visitors, with nary a
mention of the added infrastructure cost in water,
electricity, streets, police and fire, et al, that
will be paid by citizens of San Antonio.
We need to
remind our exalted leaders that both New York and
California have been the homes and breeding grounds
of Fortune 500 Influences.
Now both have
unsustainable spending and debt, and folks are
fleeing these overtaxed fiefdoms and heading for
Texas.
So far, we
haven't learned a thing about the taxation and
spending that exceeds population and cost of living
increases. Thus, our Fortune 500 minded leaders
are spending as if there was no tomorrow with no
thought of the chaos being inflicted on the
foundation citizens, ie., the folks who bear the
burden of accelerated unsustainable growth.
WITH THE
FAILING DOLLAR, SOARING GAS PRICES, AND UNBALANCED
TRADE DEFICITS, THE ECONOMIC DECLINE ELSEWHERE IN
THIS COUNTRY IS CREEPING SOUTH, AND WILL ARRIVE HERE
SOON ENOUGH.
ACCORDINGLY,
THOSE WHO ARE WISE WILL VOTE "NO" TO ALL
FOUR PROPOSITIONS TO EXTEND THE VISITORS SALE TAX.

Next time you want to cuss
somebody for $4 dollar per gallon of gas, you might
want to consider the following culprits:
Liberal Left Wing
Environmentalists and the EPA have long
played leading roles in prohibiting any efforts
of this Country to have added energy.
We can't build more refineries,
we can't drill more wells in Alaska, we can't drill
off the California Coast, and we can't do more
drilling in the Gulf of Mexico, even though we are
told the Chinese are drilling 90 miles off the Coast
of Florida.
Then of course, we have a bunch
of Gutless Politicians, Local, State,
and Federal, who wouldn't dare attack
Environmentalists and the EPA.
What we now need is a ground
swell of condemnation of this bunch of clowns who
would rather see us sink to third world status than
start a serious move toward independence
from The Third World that now holds
us hostage.
Cuss an Environmentalist,
the EPA, and Politicians using the most powerful
tool we have, The Internet.?
PS: Oh, don't forget the
Germans used Coal as a source of much of their
synthetic fuel during World War II. We have
enough Coal to satisfy our needs for eons if we have
the will to squash Environmentalists and The EPA.
